Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors

Women's Book Study

When does the Group meet?

Women's Book Study meets every Wednesday from 12:00 to 1:00 PM.

Where?

We meet in the Library at Church of the Good Shepherd.

Who participates?

Women's Book Study is open to all women; some are retired, some come on their lunch break, and some come when they can.

It provides a wonderful mid-week break from the normal routine.  Plus it provides an opportunity to meet with old & new friends.

What do we do?

After we gather and share, our book leader, Rev. Steve Wilson, opens the discussion.  Our faith, our lives, our experiences, our feelings, our questions, our concerns are explored as we grow spiritually through reading, discussing and sharing.

We spend 3-4 weeks (usually) on a book.

Among books we’ve read & discussed are:

  • "The Name of the Rose" by Umberto Eco
  • "The Chosen" by Chaim Potok
